Hi,
Im a new member, I have just bought a second hand Bocart Panther for my Kids Christmas present. It needs a little work but is in good condition except for a bent rear axel!
Ive taken the axel off to strip and straighten, all freed up except for the rims which are going to be tight to get off!
Does anybody have a parts sheet or a user manual for one of these?
Im ok with the engine as its a Honda 270, but would love a parts list..................................

Oh, and while I'm here, as my youngest is only 8, I want to do the opposite to most on here, and restrict the speed of the engine, untill he gets used to the Kart.
The engine has a govenor its a Honda GX 270 (9hp)
Is their an adjustment screw to lower the revs? I can adjust the travel on the foot pedal, but would prefer to limit the power from the engine.

The problem with doing either of the things you suggested, is that is puts strain on the clutch, as the engine does not reach its full RPM's to engage the clutch properly. You will either get a toasted centrifugal clutch if you have one (the clutch shoes can never engage and slip) or you will get a toasted TC belt

The best way to limit spead would be to do it through gearing. The easiest way to do this is just to get a larger axle sprocket. What gearing do you have now, Count all the sprockets teeth and post figures here. Also post the tyre diameter

Well I've had no luck with finding any parts sheet or spec on the Bocart, but have cracked on any way.
I took off the rear axel and brought it to an engineering shop to see if they could straighten the bend. " no problem just strip it down bring it back and I'll straighten it he said".....................................................well that's were the pain started, I have never been back to a site so many times for tips, wheel stuck, bearings seized.............etc.
But at this point I have one wheel off, the rotar and sproket freed up, but I'm going to have to cut one of the bearings off to knock out the key for the second wheel................I never thought such a simple job would involve so much brute force, swearing, and lube!!!!

Have you cleaned any rust off the axle? How much penetrating fluid have you used?

"Please don't say "I've used a full can of WD40." If that's what you've used, you may as well be using water, it'll do about the same...

Oh, welcome to the forum :)

"I ve used a full can of WD40" but have since bought some penetrating fluid to get the wheel off.
Its a 30mm bore with a keyway about 5 inches of it contact the axel.
I cut the bearings off as they were rumbling anyway, so hopefully the rim will come off today, I hope i dont damage it as I cant seem to se simmilar on the web..............
