Hey everybody.
Im opening up a gokart track in the philippines and is now thinking of have someone here build the karts for me, anyone have blueprints of a kart or any ideas on how to do it? how many hp should the engine be? i guess it should`nt be to powerful coz its just for renting, right?
Well any thoughts and ideas are welcome

The best thing I can tell you is that you need to go ride some go-karts and pay very close attention. Nobody is going to tell you how to do it.

the gokart performance depends alot on your target market
if its for kids the our track has karts with tinyengines that go at a fast jog
but for serious gokarting then u get into serious money

if your making karts for a track that people are paying to use the karts will be more expensive. normal yard kart type things you see kids driving in at a track will need about 9hp hydrualic brakes bumpers speed limiter fiber glass shall seat belts just to go 10mph, they need this stuff for insurance i beleive. for the engine make shure you get a guality one and maintain it regularly like a honda or a robin subaru, anything that has the word "rental" next to it takes a beating. if you do a raceing kart place its gonna have to have bumpers which will weigh things down so youl need a bigger engine the youl need a cover over the engine exaust sprockets ect then you need to build a quality track and hire a bunch of guys to wave flags and fix karts. no matter what you do i have a fealing everything will have to be done by a sertified welder and a sertified mechanic (insurance) there are prob more things ididnt think of but if you got the $ and want to do it, good luck

LOL you (r97) took the lawsuit-proof American precautions. What happened to "if you choose not to use your seatbelt, drive like a jack@$$ and die, it's your fault."

Thats exactly how it is in the philippines, u drive on ur own risk. but still, i dont want people getting hurt.
I abandon the idea of making my own kart, i found a company in China that makes karts, probably **** but im gonna buy a few and take it from there. anybody knows the minimum width of a track? i read somewhere that its 5 meters or 15 feet, can that be right?

Buy ONE then assess it's quality. Then buy one more and check IT'S quality. Don't toss out big money on a bunch if they're $#!+.

you guys dint really think i was gonna suggest he buy them did ya? lol, nobody is gonna drop 25000 on a kart, only good thing is it geos 60 with the 9 horse

Those can reach up to 100kph or ~60mph. A bit fast for a go kart track. Also they have a transmission on them which just poses more issues for repairs when it comes to run of the mill kids driving them for a few bucks. That website looks a bit shady. Additionally, their knowledge looks limited due to a clutch being called a "cluth", many times.
