Lol, Google already fixed that for me.
I found it here:
http://www.smallenginecams.com/
But it's not available.
Does it go by another name???
EDIT: Is it made by Isky? Had trouble navigating their site.

Trying to compare low RPM torque cams, only one I find available is NR 252 0207.
http://www.nrracing.com/mobile/Product.aspx?ProductCode=200CAM-252
Or the CL-1 Grind I saw in FreeRunners build.
http://www.dynocams.com/product_info.php?products_id=3353

Any other good options for low RPM. Engine turns 4000 - 4200 rpm now with 6:1 ratio. Hoping it gets closer to 5k when I go to 7.5 : 1 (not sure, I'll test that soon).

Maybe CL-1 Grind 5200-5800 is the way to go

Or perhaps the stock cam might work best in my situation.
I think stock cam is probably good for 6:1. For 7.5 to 1, I was thinking something that could shift power to a slighter higher RPM. Maybe 4800-5400 rpm. Not sure if such a cam exists

I think most people are running 26lb springs with this cam. That's what I'll try first.

Just make sure you got that billet rod!!!!!

I plan on getting it before i install this . Just wanted to order this while it was available. I've read (and witnessed) that this cam doesn't stay on the shelves very long.

I'm hoping I found the right cam for my application. This seems to be what I am looking for as it is supposed to pull very hard from 2-6k.

So did you measure the ID of rod with bearings pressed in? What about OD and roundness of crank journal?

Number one cause of rod failure, under torquing bolts
Number two cause of rod failure, not enough oil clearance.

Here's a video of a person showing how-to get to the rod. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6ZsocGl7ik
It is important to know and see first-hand on how to get started and do more than half the job. Just skip through all the rambling parts.

Im ok with getting to it. I'm a lil bit concerned that i may have to grind the block to allow clearance for the cam lobes on the new camshaft. I was told it usually installs without grinding, but every engine is different.

as for the connecting rod.... still a bit worried about getting oil clearances correct.

Besides that, I guess Im going to try a Popsicle stick to get the piston rings right.

Cam and springs should be here today or tomorrow. Next CC billing cycle, I'll order the flywheel, connecting rod, and new gaskets. Should have engine finished by the end of the month:wai:

Very helpful instructional video

---------- Post added at 10:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:52 PM ----------

I have a feeler gauge set. I'm not sure the best way to get the piston with rings back into the cylinder. Without a special tool, I've read one can use a pop stick to help get the rings into the cylinder as seen in the AGK instructions

Thanks for the useful video. I found it much more entertaining and educational than FreeRunners. Always keep in mind such tools as piston ring compressors are often available to rent for free at O'Reilly or AutoZone....

Another low cost solution is to simply get a hose clamp....(if you can't get one big enough, put two together) ....

Come on!!!! With a name like Poboy... on a DIY site...
Whats wrong with making due with what you got???
(jk, thanks for the suggestion about rental. I planned on renting an in-lb torque wrench anyway, but didn't think about the ring compressor)

I'll bring the Popsicles if you bring the popcorn. We are all headed over the FreeRunners Thread later. I've been told there may be a Flux Capacitor installed in the booster system. No chance i'm going to miss 1.21 Gigawatts.
