Bought a new 212cc predator from HF and slapped it on the kart, going to get a clutch and chain soon to complement but I have a question, engine runs like a dream starts field pull every time, my question is about the shaft, at idle the shaft keeps spinning is that because I have no load on it? (Clutch) or is it possibly because I have the idle set to high?

P.S. removing the low pressure oil sensor work out well for taking tight turns? Heard that is an issue as well

Thanks!!!! You guys rock!!!:cheers2:

That is the crakshaft... the centrifugal clutch that is commonly used, slips onto that....so yes itll spin anytime the motor is running....

The oil sensor can be simply unplugged...Also the end going to the yellow relay box for in which the sensor was just connected to, can be connected inline to ground with a momentary push button switch, to use as a kill switch, where ever you need it at a push of the thumb...

Ok so hypothetical coming at you, when I have everything hooked up and I start the engine my wheel will be spinning from the get go? Does the clutch engage and disengage somehow?

A Centrifugal clutch is just that... but it engages at a particular rpm... So starting up and idling wont fully engage the drive, but give it some gas and it will go... IE. like an automatic transmission engine...

So tell me about this oil sensor. I have a Predator 212 as well. Is that what stalls the engine when we cut corners really fast?
