Bird manufacturing Indy style go kart. He wants a rear wing. The one that goes over the engine. The bodies where themed after Dr.Pepper, Sunnoco, mellow yellow..... Just to name a few....
To the OP, ebay will be the best place to look for it. I think those karts where mostly in the southern states too..... You could just make a rear wing. All you need is some 1/8" thick wood paneling from the hardware store and some fiberglass resin.....

you could probably find a spoiler made for a car, like one that people would put on their ricer you know a front wheel drive civic where down force on the rear doesn't do much for it lol, but ya iv seen the style your looking for made for cars and there usually different lengths you can choose from, but like firemanjim said you can just make your own to exactly what you need wood fiberglass and resin and you can make almost anything you can imagine

So we talk about this kart then?
Bird_Indy.jpg

..since apart from that and the one Orange posted there's also another type.. the StarBird (still Bird Mfg..)
but it has a different style spoiler...

And then there are Bird Mfg Indy cars like that one...
Bird_also_indy.jpg

So.. the question remains ;)

Cool ads sid,
That girl in the lower middle ad looks like Fred Savage's girlfriend(I forgot off hand and too sick right now to look it up) off of the tv show The Wonder Years. Funny might even be that chick aswell.

Winnie Cooper...
Danica McKellar.. I was soooooo in love :D

No she's not on the kart, but a similar hairstyle.. (due to the era I assume ;))

OKay, this has been a while.. but I may have found something..

promokart makes such Indy karts, maybe they can help you with a matching wing, even if it's not exactly the Bird Mfg Wing, it will likely fit your needs:

(the online shop isn't done yet, but I'm sure they'll handle your request via email.)

Hi guys, new here. I have three karts, and two of them are older style race karts (80's) for parking lot runs with my three sons. I looked around for a wing kit of some sort....and everything is way too expensive for my purposes---all being automotive type wings in the thousand dollar range. Who knew these teen kids spent so much on their ridiculous wings?! So, I'm going to weld two 1/2" square upright lats (not too high!)to the tail bar and some 16 gauge (hemmed for rigidity)steel for a wing. I like the look of the capped wing-tips too and I'll probably pop rivet a lower gusset and make some sort of wingtips. I dunno. My main reason for the want for a wing is to lengthen the kart(s) for a less "stubby" appearance. The formula racer look is just kewl, eh?

I made this from a automotive spoiler i didnt want on my car. Youre looking in the wrong place for a spoiler. Shouldnt be anywhere near 1000$. Unless you want a lambo spoiler
