Hey guys, I've been looking around here for a few weeks now, nice forums!
My kids have had a manco dingo for a couple of years now, rode it some on and off. Well now we've gotten into karts a bit more recently. They now have a few karts including some fiberglass bodies.
We found and bought an old 80's Bigfoot body.
I have searched the net quite a bit and come up with very little info or pics. We'd like to build a chassis for this body, but before I start one from scratch I was trying to find some pics and dimensions of the original design. My thoughts were to perhaps replicate the original chassis.
The best pics I found so far were here by mike75925

Those were great. Does anyone have any other good links, pictures? Chassis for sale :drool5:

thanks!
(here is a pic of the body we have, and also I am thinking of making a mold out of it so I could punch out some more bodies)

missing fiberglass inner fenders, tav, battery and box. the 9hp, would almost be worth the money, if it runs good.

Yep I figured I'd be building one from scratch, not going to build it up that much though lol, its for kids 6-14.
I was thinking of using a Honda clone 6.5 w/comet clutch.
We have a couple of those, they seem to run good. Just have to consider the gearing to turn those big tires, dont want it to be a dog.

hd4ou Nice find! It's too bad I'm in Texas and it's in Florida. It's definately worth the $ for me.(like mike said especially if that 9hp runs) Good reference pics off the add non-the-less, thank you.

not only that, but unless you can line up the sprockets it won't work either. it was made for a tav.

I'm definately going to use a TAV setup. Looks like I'll just get started on building a chassis from scratch. I started putting together a shopping list last night for parts needed.

Can anyone recommend a decent yet inexpensive tubing bender?
I looked at several online, alot a pretty pricey 800-1000, I wasn't sure if $120.oo unit from northertool would work well or not...

Thanks

Ive heard that the northern tool bender works BUT you need to buy the dies which are expensive. Also make sure you get the right size dies tubes vs pipes. Otherwise you wont have clean bends.

we always cut and weld the pipe to ensure rigidity, and besides that i like the jagged corners...and that its way cheaper than the cheater bender. ;P but thats all my oppinion, in truth if i could afford it i would totally get a pipe bender, but alas i cant. i did make a really nice hydraulic press to put bearings together and crush stuff... but thusfar its bee pretty useless for my cart builds.
