Might be a good deal if its a newer model in good condition. Try to find out what brand/model/year it is, and also post those pics here in your thread. Also ask the seller if its ever had any damage/welding/repairs done to the frame, and if the bottom of the frame shows any signs of being D-shaped. (thats a fairly common term used by kart racers, and refers to the bottom of the frame constantly scraping against the track until the round tubing has worn into a D-shape, or sometimes even worn all the way through... :ack2:

That blue kart looks pretty good for the price. Its a 1990's era streat-rail type chassis, but that left-front ride-height adjuster knob and the type of nerf bars it has tells me Its been used for oval racing. Nothing wrong with that, but you might find it turns left corners a bit better than rights.

I'm not sure about that quarter midget frame. My first impression was that its actualy a high end rental kart frame, It sure looks strong and heavy... I'd pass on that one unless you wanna frame to build an offroad kart, and add suspension, and maybe use a motorcycle or snowmobile engine.

Since I wouldn't be racing it at sanctioned tracks (that mlook out streets!!:lolgoku:) , I don't care that it may be a little heavy, maybe over built... It's to my benefits.....I wouldn't have to worry about frame twisting and what not. So I'm gonna put the biggest engine/power from a dirt bike I can safely squeeze in the chassis. Then I'm gonna get some fat stickies in all four corners..... Then I'm gonna go abuuuuuusssssseeeeee them..... :roflol:

So you sink a hunksy ($100) into that chassis. Hit ebay for a decent set of wheels and tires, theyre on there every day - free shipping even, in some cases. Look for a cheap chinese atv or dirt bike to get the engine from. I find them for $50-$150 everyday on craigslist. Or buy a new 125cc on ebay for $300 like I did.... It all depends on how you think about it. If I bought that today, I'd have it on the road by this time next week, but I have wheels, tires, engine,axle,bearings,sprocket/hub, ...... I'd have to order a seat, hydraulic brake kit, and a couple other odds and ends, but, I could just go drum brake as I have everything needed (or can machine) to go that route.

It's all about the fun/excitement of ripping up some street/track..... Wind in the face, and slinging it through some corners.....

Looks good, its a fairly modern design and has the extended front porch (front bumper) so its pedals are mounted further forward to achieve more leg room for tall riders. But that one is definitely an offset oval chassis...
This is harder finding a chassis than i thought.

Guy just sold the heavy midget chassis he told me. What i was wondering if id even fit. And you just mentioned the offset. Im 5'11 so i wonder if ill even fit

Update: I guess the guy had second thoughts on that midget chassis. I'm curious now.. is it even a midget chassis? I can't find anything online that shows me what it is. It doesn't match anything..

:idea2: If its still for sale, go look at it. See if you would fit, or could fit. Parts to make it a running kart can be had regardless of who made it....:idea2:
