Upgrade. Save money. Gain more power for your buck guaranteed.

Just a torque converter alone will be worth the price over buying the next size motor.

It would help to know what frame you have. You're using a 6.5hp engine, so it's safe to assume that the 8hp and 13hp won't fit without modifications.

I'd get the 30 Series Torque Converter.

basic upgrade under 100 bucks would be the standard high flow intake, exhaust, and possible rejet. You can keep the governor on that setup. You can get one here.

Another option (i havent looked too much into this) for added torque, is to increase compression. The engine you have is a copy (for the most port) of the honda gx200 engine. You can get a performance head for it, or just buy a standard gx160 head (smaller so=higher compression). the trade off with higher compression is that your engine will get hotter. I haven't looked into it too much. IT should be 'fine' though - do your own investigation on this. If the valve cover looks different, you may need to get a honda valve cover and gasket to match the head, but the head will match the block for the lifan. This upgrade should set you back 25-$35 for the head, and 10-$15 for the valve cover (if needed).

I have done the intake/exhaust and it makes a huge difference.

Typically, yes. If you want a solid answer, you would need to run it with the normal jet, then read the plug after running it for a few minutes. Google "how to read a spark plug"......but the kit comes with a jet. Its easy, all you need is a 10mm wrench to undo the bowl from the carb, and a screwdriver to unscrew the old jet, and screw in a new one and reattach the bowl to the carb. Its a 5 min job at most.

Ok cool thanks, what jet, exhaust, and intake do I need to get? FYI I live in a neighborhood so a quiet exhaust would be better

Typically if you want quiet...
Stay with the stock setup...
It really isn't going to be any quieter than that..

Need more performance... Going to get louder.

You can get a header with a screw in 5 hp briggs hot dog muffler. A gx 160 head that is 14 cc will give you 1 hp more just by bolting it on and u could add a flat top piston . This will give more low end torque and will need higher octane gas.
