Best way to clear rust spots on the frame ?

I'll second that. I use a knotted brush cup on a grinder for weld and rust cleanup. Works very well.

For heavier rust, you may need to resort to sandblasting...

I powder coat most things in an old oven at 400 degrees for 10 minutes(the part at 400). What is the best spray can primer to use until I'm ready to shoot the whole kart frame with a air gun? down here in should Texas if you leave metal out in the open you have rust the next day. LOL - **** salt air!

you can use any primer as long as you cover everything.
