Best way of charging batteries .

I will be running 2 12v 8ah batteries in series to power my kids trike and am wondering what is the best way of charging them ? I can get a 24v charger in the uk very cheaply but it seams to have 3 terminals in the round connecting block , which I don't understand .

Also can you buy the female / male parts seperately for these scooter type chargers ?

They may have three terminals but, only two are connected; this helps to avoid crossed connection...

Umm, what? To which "parts" are you referring?

One of the plugs wires is the charge in feed...Google the pin out for your make and model....

Sorry . I ment the actual electrical connectors . ie if I buy a charger with a 3 pin male connector attached to it , can I buy female 3 pin connectors seperately that I can permanently wire into the vehicle side of the charging system ?
