Ok, I am thinking of doing the big International internet purchase thing...I want a new torque converter for 8-15 HP or there abouts.

It must be a currently made one with extensive parts available.

Wish list:

Tough / well engineered (History of easily surviving abuse)
Safety features (gaurding) essential
Parts readily available
Capable of hauling = 300kgs ~ 600Lbs (see point 1)
Shaft size selectable from 5/8 to 1"
A supplier who can accurately quote and supply via mail shipping to Australia
(it isn't that expensive, I have heard stories of ex USA shipping being WAY over the top):ack2::censored:

Thanks in advance all

Try CVTech, in Canada. They make TC's that seem to be more heavy duty and geared to bashing and abuse even more than the Comet 40.

I hope you speak French! Maybe try emailing them with exactly what you need and they might have an English speaking employee help you.

When I contacted them, the guy on the other end of the phone had a pretty good handle on English. Unfortunately, the company is located in Quebec, our French-speaking province.

Thanks mate!
I have been having a squizz at their products, still trying to close off on a kart frame and motor deal here. I dont think I will have too many drama's dealing with them; they are into TC's in a big way..
Cheers,
John
