My neighbor (Kelly) sat around and freed up the rings and everything after we took it apart. I'm pretty sure we've lost some parts at this point and don't really care to mess with it any further.
While it was still running, I think I would have finished off with ether or nitrous.

It will be very loud!

Actually on a 4 stroke that is ok. Just temporary, Right? You don't want crap to fall in there.
A 2 stroke it can cause problems.

....Phoenix is intense so synthetic 40.10 if I'm correct would keep it cooler without making the oil to thin .

Never heard of that type of oil. Must be new.

It will be all right but it won't provide any performance gains. Why would you want to?

I have not used oil in a year for go karts lol I have not even owned a go kart in a great deal of time so I forget what numbers of oil u can buy where I know it's just a little thicker then 10w30 .

I was looking at GoPowerSports' U-Tub channel just recently and watched their 'how to change the oil in your go kart' video. I was slightly astonished to hear them recommend my chosen Pennzoil 30 weight oil as the one they use for all their demo vehicles. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me. :cheers2:

Furthermore, I was intrigued by the oil funnel they were using--the funnel top is graduated in standard and metric measurements so you just fill up the funnel to the specified amount and when ready you open the valve to let the oil flow into the engine via the long tube.

Without this handy funnel, you're constantly adding oil and checking the dipstick over and over and over again until you get it right. That's too tedious not to mention the hassle of getting oil into the angled oil spouts commonly seen on small engines. I had to get one--it's made by Hopkins Mfr Corp. and is called the #10704 Measu-Funnel.

Um Hellion. you do know there is a clear line on the side of oil cans and graduations to tell you how much you have used.
Also a standard funnel helps with the angled filler neck.

Hellion said no such thing. :p

And Chancer, stop assuming so much--you know what they say, right?
I've got a 5 gallon bucket of oil.

What's a "standard funnel"?

EDIT: the Measu-Funnel also has a cap on both ends so when you're done, you cap it off and no dust or dirt gets inside. It's ready for the next use.

So having seen the Measu funnel #10704 I wonder how you are gonna pour the precise amount of oil that you need out of a 5 gallon Bucket into the measu funnel #10704.

a standard funnel is just one that is not graduated. They actually usually have an offset built in for that difficult angled filler neck on your Predator.

I just hand-fill a smaller container with oil that I can readily use. When I'm ready for an oil change I can just top off the Measu-Funnel at 28 oz or whatever I need. I know you're purposely being the imbecile here but others can benefit from your stupidity. :p

There's no standardization in funnels and every single funnel I have in the garage has a large and wide mouth that cannot fit against the engine without also dumping oil upon the floor.

Are you all not entertained?
