Best material for frame (low budget)

To answer you question.... +1^ Bill. ..... No not really. Wood shouldn't be used for a gokart with a motor.

If cash is tight, buy a completed or majority completed kart, and go from there.

You can buy that stuff on eBay used as cheap as steel... Actually waay cheaper than dom steel. I wouldn't use it either, but I build my own stuff.
