best HD antenna?

let's just say that since cox has switched to digital channels my old method of "acquiring" cable is no longer effective. it's somewhat hilarious since the kids complained to mom that they're not getting "signal" due to the display provided by cox on the analog stations. mom told them dad didn't pay the bill. so they keep demanding I pay the bill so they can get "signal" again. he11 I never paid that bill

welp, the toy hauler has an extendable (via crank on the ceiling) antenna with some 12V booster and dang all if it doesn't get every wireless channel in the Phoenix area, I really cant believe how well it works, and now I want similar for the house

any suggestions? antenna? booster?

RCA ant 1650 and I have a radio shack cheap ant with bunny ears and an adjuster. Both are amplified. Kinda wanted one that you stir in the attic but they cost more. I pick up about 20 channels. Need to adjust them both for some channels over others. Way better than the old analog as kids.

My setup is similar (if your R.S. rabbit ears has a triangular shaped body with the adjuster on the lower right, we might actually have the same model). I can't remember the name brand of the amp; it came as part of a supposedly superior flat plane antenna. The clerk recommend it because it was the only one that they stocked with a separate amp; she stated that almost all of the amplified antennas that they carried were coming back with complaints about piss poor reception. This one had the same issues; people were coming in to buy it for just the amp, and keeping their old antennas. That's what I did.....

As someone who taught antenna theory to a friend wanting to pass his HAM radio exam (Long story, used to repair electronics years ago) I can say that ANY television antenna will work for digital TV. The antenna receives a frequency range, it does not care whether the signal is analog or digital. I have a 45 year old Winegard antenna on my house that gets everything in the Detroit area, plus Toledo and Windsor Canada if I rotate it.

welp, the RV gets about 40 channels, so like a good hillbilly, I just ran coax from the RV to the house.......

ha ha, when I was shopping for our home, I stressed to the realtor I wouldn't consider living in a HOA. he looked at me like I was bat ship crazy and admittedly at the time, I didn't have hardly any of the toys we have now. but anyone who drives by now gets it, only room for 1 of our 3 4-wheel vehicles on the driveway and 2 on the street since a flatbed trailer, toy hauler, and boat consume 2/3 of the driveway

oh- and wired up.... 30 channels

I just built a house in a hoa neighborhood but it was only 5 pages of rules vs 30 at the other lot we looked at. Most I can live with like rv must be on a pad along the garage which I wanted anyways. Fence must be min 5ft. Shops must be have same exterior as the house, blah blah blah. My other house zero hoa, and zero covenants!

HOA's are how those who barely have a bit more do their best to make sure the rest of us in the same boat are kept in our place. The that have stepped on enough bodies don't need to have such rules (RULES!?!?!?!?! Those are for the little ones!!!!!!!).
