So, the kids have been running the Manco 606 Silver Fox pretty hard and without crashing into anything have still managed to bend both spindles.
With the help of some galvanized pipe i was able to get the worst of the two reasonably straight so they could keep driving.
Any reason I can't just take them off and pound them flat on a little anvil? At $28 a pop, that could add up quickly. (I had to replace one already because I crashed during one of the first test drive phases)
Is there a heavier duty spindle that might be a better replacement? I purchased the last one from gokart supply.com.

The material used for the steering arm is too thin, should be minimum 1/4"...
