I was able to get an ammo box practically new(no rust/dents) for 10$... but then again i bought 30 of em and sold 29 of em at 15$ each... so guess it matters howfar down the middle man u are as to the cost... but Ive seen from 9$-25$ each. But the "Gun n Knife show" is the awaited 'event' round here for gun/old military enthusiasts. I myself dont own a 'gun'. Unless u count my .177, which pops turtle heads off at 100-130yds... bout 7/10 of the time... :2guns::thumbsup:

I've heard Ammo cans are getting hard to find. I've also heard prices are more than they used to be. I talked to one fella of a Army Navy store a few months back and he said that it's hard to get stuff because he has to bid against bigger companies our west. I don't know but it is what he was telling me. I know there's not many left around me like there used to be. Used to be one a mile from my house. Now there's one thirty miles from my house.

Lighter note I like the seat both ways. Kinda neat really. I was thinking about redoing our seat as well. The old cover is kinda boring and I can't say worn but not great either. Kool man.

Please. Please. Please. Get a real helmet... If you're wearing a bicycle helmet, all its really gonna do, is keep your forehead from getting scraped up.

The 'thought' of installing some 'did' cross my mind... then I remembered the 'reason' I never followed thru.... after I read Souper's reply.

Yes it 'goes' fast enough(35mph)... but I 'rarely' go FULL throttle(despite what is seen in my other thread vid links). I, on a norm, only travel bout 15-20mph bout 95% of the time. I built 'Lo-T' for riding... but after I found local 'fans', I decided to take great care of this cart, upgrading as I go, and take it to bike/hot-rod shows(which are quite numerous round these parts).

I'm 'trying' to keep w/ the 60's era of automotive creativity. Hot-rods/Rat-rods/'Bobber's'. The first 'seatbelt' law was put into effect in 1970...so imo, a seatbelt would 'not' coincide w/ the 'theme/era'.

I did purchase a skull helmet(DOT) or some call em half-helmets, w/ goggles, and leather trim/straps. That and a bandana round nose/mouth, and Ill 'keep' the 'theme' while 'being safe' (honestly if some knew my life they probably wouldnt be so 'eager' for my safety... but I can understand the "mom/dad" syndrome).

Looking to do something.... not so common

After the design of my bench, and all the 'fan-fare', I was thinking of creating another seat, of comparable elegance, for my(now) 1 seater. I still plan on staying w/ the red stripe on black... and it's gonna need side walls!

Started looking a bike solo seats... and came across this forsale on CL.


I figured that if the dimensions were 'proper'/correct... i could maybe fab(stage 1 of the seat) from it(stage 2 would be the sidewalls). W/ 'this' seats design(and the angle that I plan on installing it) sidewalls are used, but mainly at the hips and not so much at the thighs...



(This is just a wild thought...Ill probably end up just 'making' a seat... but wanted to know opinions on 'this' idea)

Get one of those wooden desk chairs.... I prefer the original seat. Make a new one,just a single,and add the side pads to take up some of the room on both sides of the seat....
And yeah, the bicycle helmet is a no-no.... lol.... Come guys, really? Im sure that was just some teasin/rib ticklin.....
