Hi i have a panterra ty rail gokart and the guy i got it from was running 1/2" wide belts and was smoking them left and right its a honda clone engine, 6.5 jiangdong. i was wondering if anyone could help out on what size belt i should actually be using on it. and also i had the same kind of engine before and took the governor out and now the throttle is stuck wide open once i shut the choke off anyone know y it is stuck wide open?

Is it a belt tensioner system or a torque converter. Photos would be very helpful as your problems can be seen better. If it is a torque converter, is the unit made for a symmetrical or asymmetrical belt? What is the center distance between the two parts of the torque converter?

its definetly a torque converter symm or asym i dont know i can get a couple pics up in a min though

He needs some sedatives. I know he wants his kart fixed, but one thread is enough. Could we have an admin tidy this up? I'd say it looks to be a 30 series unit, making it asymmetrical. Can you measure from the PTO bolt to the jackshaft center?
