Belt Sander Racing

I'd put this idea down for a while, but I'm thinking about picking it back up. There's a restaurant / bar down the road from me that hosts "Belt Sander Racing" once a month. Could be a lot of fun. I mean, I have a belt sander... Why not? Anyone else ever heard of this?

I have seen it before, look's like fun! funny as hello!

I have heard of it, My friends Dad in High School told us about it when it happened to us on
accident. Thought we could tape the trigger on rather than hold it down. Till the sander slipped and took off across the Garage.
But I have never actually seen it done on purpose! LOL

I had seen it on tv, they made a wood track for it to go in.
These were all custom with different ways of traction. Some had chains, some with 4 small saw blades. Saw some crazy stuff

Reminds me of a dvd we got a while back, Power Toll Drag Racing. Pretty sure there was some belt sanders in there.
