Belt issues

everytime i replace the belt it burns up and stretchgs out i dont know what belt it needs so i have to keep guessing, anyone help me, its a ken bar rail buggy go kart, heres some pics, i know its a comet pulley on the motor,

that one looks a bit loose. also..we really need to know your axle sprocket size , jackshaft teeth, and tore size, engine size etc. you may simple be "over geared" for that kart.
