beginner asking ?

Hello every one
I've just start working on my 1st project . but as beginner need to know some info & I hope you will help me in this . my plan is 2 seat go-kart single wheel drive .
Look to my clutch it's belt type

but can belt do the job as chain ??


I going to make it 3 wheeler like this .

are there any limits in three wheelers ?

I would say, scrap the vbelt and get a chain. It won't slip. It will handle more power. Finding a pulley is the harder part. Sprockets are widely available.
Not saying it can't be done though. Just don't expect it to push 400lbs of kart and rider.

Welcome to the site Murad, you will find everyone here is very
eager and capable to help you in any way they can - really great
people. For a belt to work you would need a double pulley and even then it would tend to slip. Go with the chain. I would advise
you go with 4 wheels just because 3 wheelers are very unstable - you will roll it eventually. It isin't a lot more work
to make it 4 wheels, but hey it's your creation

That would work as long as you don't make the gear ratio to fast
