observant! yes I´ve seen this vid, and i gained some ideas for my build, especially the stering concept

in the vid he mention that it´s capable of doing 40 km/h (25 mph)
couse my brief knowledge from the german language tells me that the german says: fiersich stundenkilometer
but from the looks of it he is going much faster in the first vid in this thread!!:huh:

Please install a chain deflector... the chain looks like it'll do some damage to your "package" if you're on it when it breaks.

I'd slap in a steel plate as a firewall/package protector. You wouldn't want to toast your buns over an open fire.

those paddles don't look too comfy, also why the paddles, doe your engine have a manual tranny?

actually the padels are very comfy when holding your fingers under them (you don´t feel the sprockt teeths)
it sertainly does not have a transmission, just gas and brake, Well... after the project is almost done, I´m concidering putting brakes on it, haven´t really given so much thought to it :thumbsup:

guy is crazy. those size wheels are gonna get him hurt. at 54 seconds it shows a rock in the corner of the screen. if he hit that rock, he would get jettisoned. i always hated the smaller skateboard wheels because of that.

also make sure the wheels are rated for high rpm, its un-likely but they could explode! and brakes are a must, if you get good brakes don't lock up those solid wheels it will cause un-even wear and make it sound like a 1 and 3/4 stroke engine when its coasting, your ride wont be pleasant either.

Well you seam to have built some cool stuff in your days!! :thumbsup:
I seam to have problems turning at slow speeds, not that i didn´t predict that with my setup of 2wheeldrive and short wheelbase! but one question, does your beer case racer have 2wheeldrive, or a differential, or 1wheeldrive??

live axle so rwd w no diff at all! the trick is in steering geometry! i have a huge amount of camber! it turns on a dime no joke!

I should have thought about camber when i first started this project, the steering setup i´m currently using is the easiest one to build.

but i have kind of solved the little steering issue, i figured i could just lean when turning at slow speeds, (no worries when going fast)... and it does go fast!

progress is going kinda slow at the moment, cause of my other motorcycleproject, but it works great and handles well

things to do:

* steering wheel adjustment
* breaks
* cleaning the carb
* fabricate a seat
* fotpegs

Still looking great man, are you going to mold in a seat after you make a metal plate for protection on top?

thanks dude!

as soon as i finish my motorcycleproject i´ll get on with the seat, and it´ll be one thick wooden plate covering the whole box, then i´ll fabricate a seat, covering half the wooden plate, youll see, soon enough :thumbsup:
