I have a older lancer that i would like to fix using an inch and a quarter axle i have already, I bought bearings and flangettes/ cassettes 3 hole thinking they would work. this is what I have run into and I really don't want to cut and re weld the hangers. I looked at the possibility of drilling new holes, but there isn't much metal left on the old hangers. does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes a small 3 bolt cassettes/ flangettes that will fit a inch and a quarter bearing?

Anderkart, I had thought about it and marked it out, but I only have enough metal for the two upper holes, granted that is where most of the pressure from the bearing will be I'm not comfortable with it being I'm considering a 11hp Honda for the engine.

This is very perplexing; as I said in your welcome thread, I know 1' & 1 1/4" bearings have the same OD & use the same size carriage; is it possible the original axle was only 3/4"? Do you have the original bearings? Pics?

How about drilling/using your weld-on plates (as an adapter) sandwiched in-between the karts frame and your 1-1/4" flagette's, then using countersunk Allen bolts heading out in each direction so it would all bolt together flush?
