Quite unusal but this is a factory made fibreglass body minature VW Beach Buggy. The plan is to restore her into a tot rod. The Old scooter type engine which is a bump start but the plan is the replace for a Honda GX and to cut the rear axle so only one wheel drives to decrease the turning circle so it can be drive a shows, at present it's very juddery cornering at low speed. Full respray anf interior retrim, golf buggy rear wheel and new alloy roll bars. Just like they do on American Hot rods! Any sugestion would be great or possible paint colours.

Have found golf buggy wheels fit and planning to widen the rear, the front probably have to stay as they are due to clearance. If I fit a 6.5hp engine how would I slow her down? I always remember having to rev them up and them the clutch kicked in quite sharpe, could I keep her slowed down on the gearing and also git it smoother take offs?

well if the clutch kicks in sharply thats not the engines fault but the clutches or your control of the revs
