If you are not a follower of International Trade Agreements and Copyright laws you may not be aware of the lawsuit that Honda filed some time back against others that well, let’s just say have made their products too similar to many of the wonderful products Honda has brought to us here in the United States. We ‘cloners’ like to stay neutral on these political indifference’s in commerce and can’t see why everybody just can’t get along. If you know a bargain when you see one, then you’re a cloner at heart or as my wife say’s “Sneak’s, you are cheap.” We ‘cloners’ have learned to accept whatever the industrial world decides and try to make that fit in our racing lives. So what does Honda winning an International copyright lawsuit mean to a cloner like me? I like to call it, “The Revenge of the Clones.”

Well Maybe if HONDA had not decided to have China make the GX series engine, Instead of having it made in Japan or U.S. They would not have this issue.
At 500 bucks for a Real GX they sure as hek could afford to have it made in a real Country NOT China!

I have seen The HONDA factory in China sell no name Engines on Ebay for under $150 the box even says GX!
This is Honda owned and approved sales!
Honda did this too themselves. Today A new GX200 on Ebay is selling For $569 and another for $619.
If they made their prices reasonable. They could triple their sales. Most Folks do not mind paying a little more for a "Genuine" Product.

The GX comes off the exact Same assembly line as the LIFAN!

When the Lifan is 120 and the GX is 620. What do they expect?

Kill all the Lawyers Kill them Now!

The majority of clones are engines rejected by Honda; :iagree: with chancer, if Honda doesn't want the Chinese manufacturer to sell their rejects at a heavily discounted price, they should either find a new manufacturer with higher QC standards & practices, lower their own standards or lower the price of the genuine article; if the Honda GX were less expensive, the general public may be more inclined to purchase them in favour of their more inferior rejects...

Read that article a few times. Have to agree, they did it to themselves. But it happens to anything you have built to China and they don't care about international law.

A designer knows he has achieved perfection, not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.
