Battery Monitor Fail on LiPo

I just changed batteries from NiMh to LifePo and I'm not getting readings on my crappy battery monitor. I purchased the following back when I did the NiMh build:

I bought the 48v C version (not sure why I didn't buy the "F" version. The description says it works with LiPo, so I'm wondering what I'm missing. I'm getting 54v at the leads. Do I need a special monitor now for LifePo batteries?

A little more info. I see the screen on the monitor flash very dimly when I send the current, but then nothing.
