Hmm.

#35 .375 X 72 = 27 / 3.14 = 8.6in diameter
.375 X 80 = 30 / 3.14 = 9.6in diameter

#40 #41 #420 whathaveya .50 X 72 = 36 / 3.14 = 11.5in diameter
.50 X 80 = 40 / 3.14 = 12.7in diameter

Add a hair for the teeth and chain n she'll be right.

Attached pic is what a #35 chain on a 60-tooth looks like against (1 side) of a 9" sprocket guard. Now has a 72-tooth, and top of the chain is exactly even with the 9" guard.
