Nice score. Enduros always seem to have less market value than Sprints (upright-sitting karts). Probably because they're such a pain to ride. But you usually find the best speed parts on an Enduro (front disc brakes, rare wheels, multi-carbs, etc.). Still a nice project kart indeed. You'll have fun puttin' it together.

I hope that aint your wife's Ford truck. She's gonna be pissed when she sees the scratches you put into the hood.

As for parts for your Rupp, there are a few reproduced parts (seat upholstery, wheels, etc.) and some NOS stuff around. OMB warehouse is the store linked to the Old Minibikes forum. And of course eBay will be your best friend.

Is this a CW or CCW engine?

Just judging by the way it's setup I'd say CCW flywheel side.

I would certainly pull and clean/rebuild the carbs and reeds and try and find out if it were setup alky or not before running it too much.
Actually a complete rebuild with new rings, gaskets and bearings would an even better idea, no telling how long it's set up.

You want to make sure you don't run these engines too lean you will cause severe damage such as burned piston or seized engine, these things have a chromed cylinder, if you seize one up, chip, scratch or score it in any way your done.

id take a good guess that the engine head faced forward in the kart. also the flywheel nut will probably unscrew if you turn it CCW flywheel side.

A sure way to tell would be to back off on the pto nut, if it has left hand threads it is a left hand or CW shaft end, if it is standard right hand thread it is right hand or CCW shaft end rotation.
Also if the number plate is still there.
Last digit in the model number will tell.
example:
850001 = Right hand or CCW shaft end
850002 = Left hand or CW shaft end

Even # = CW left hand
Odd # = CCW right hand

What fuel do you run????

From what I've heard about running alcohol you need to drill out the jets to get more fuel thru the carb and into the engine. So if you try to run it on gas it would be too rich, and you'll foul it out. Never heard about the issues of running alcohol in a gas engine, likely too lean...?

Look at the carbs first! Some Tillotson Carbs are factory made for alky....the HL340 is one of those! But there are six different versions of the HL430, starting with HL340A thru HL340F. If you go to http://www.eccarburetors.com/store/ you can get your answers on the carbs. E.C. Birt actually helped design the Tillotson carbs and is probably the best in the world with them!

No Problem. Thats a freakin sweet find you have there! Fix it up and keep ahold of it, they are worth some money to collectors of vintage karts!

I did a Google search for "King Enduro kart" and found there was a company named King that built Enduro karts back in the 1960's. Margay bought them out in in 1968.

Does your look like the pics at the very bottom of this page:--> http://www.lostenduros.com/?page_id=144

You might get some info about yours by posting a thread w/pics on that sites forum,
and also at this forum: http://www.vintagekarts.com/
