I'd use a brake hub, because of the heat generated by the clutch and the heat generated by the brake, could be enough to warp it.

The main problem here is not harming the clutch though it will create some wear, the main problem is the fact that when your chain breaks you will have no brakes. This can happen at a time which could prove to be very dangerous for you.

thats true.. but its a risk im willing to take because i have a front break for doing burnouts.. just didnt want to stress the forks using it to stop. my other option is a scrub brake. you think the clutch would go using a band before the tire using a scrub set up?

Are you asking me if you should choose between a scrub and the band brake on a clutch? Scrub brakes on mini-bikes work amazingly well and are fun to use, wear on the tire is not really what you think it would be. The main downside besides a noticeable decrease in braking ability in wet conditions would be the inability to easily change tire size after you've custom designed a scrub brake for a bike.

i agree. i will probley just fab a scrub brake using some large steel pipe. or do you think flat would be better? the rounded would put more surface area on the breaking surface right?
