for those of you who are building suspension karts I have a resource for you. Might be one you already know about. So for those who need this here it is- go to www.McMaster.com and type in "in line ball joint linkage" for example my front end was originally from a Yerf Dog. it did not come with ball joints. High quality replacement ones cost $99. so I looked closely at the high dollar ones and then researched Ball joints to understand the different types of ball joints. the high dollar replacement ball joints for the Yerf Dogs are in line linkage ball joints with thick washers added. Avoid the kind that snap in with a snap ring and spacers!!! They break and are dangerous to riders. The in-line linkage kind are beefy and will last way longer and are way safer. and from McMaster they only cost $13. each compared to $25 each from another company. Also I will be posting a build thread soon of how to build heavy duty spindles for Yerf Dog or other double A arm style front ends. (Heavy Duty Replacements for the Yerf Dogs run $169 a pair-good motivation to make your own) I have been experimenting with different designs over the last two days and have pretty much perfected my design. If you are going to make your own spindles please be sure to use grade 8 or grade 10 bolts for extra strength. Especially in a off road kart. Let me know if I can be of help.
