Picked up these two beauties last night. Super fun. Gonna build up my motor a little and make it scream. (No im not putting a motorcycle engine on it, im playing with the clone) i plan on doing one part at a time and seeing what kind of difference it makes.
Also plan on painting mine a red color with plenty of metal flake. My fiance is gonna do baby blue and white on hers. Ill keep this thread updated as i restore/build it up.

We ride mostly in the back yard and her subdivision streets, but we're gonna take them to some local trails once we get them ready to go.
Ive got one running pretty good. The other one had the black plastic spacer cracked in two (probly some he-man torqued it down way too tight) so ive gotta replace that. I cleaned both carbs.
Also probly gonna replace the fake gas tanks with functional ones and remove the engine-mounted tank. Itll be easier to run a fuel filter inline that way. And probly hold more fuel for trail riding.

Fuel filter runs inline at the tank to fuel line junction on those anyway. The fake tanks look alright and replacement real tanks cost some $$$$$

Have you thought about doing the clutch to torque converter swap? Those little bikes are a blast after the swap.

Ah im not sure. How much horsepower can either the clutch or tq converter take? Is there a certain point where the torque converter will be over powered by the motor? Itll be fully built at some point in the future.
The replacement real tank isnt an issue. Ill just save up and go for it. Ive seen them on ebay and other sites

Surely a used motorcycle tank in good shape will work just fine if i dont splurge on a new one
