Restoration steps.
1. Re-assemble original engine with charging system.
2. Re-install old engine.
3. Re-install original headlight.
= 100% original and like new minibike. Cost: free.
Tires are almost perfect, never had e-start, I have the original charging system and headlight, and 2014 is not old.
And to adress the recall the part of the official notice that relates the the bike that is recalled is below.
"Description: This recall involves Baja Motorsports gas-powered mini bikes manufactured
during November 2014 and December 2014. The recalled mini bikes have a black frame with a
black padded seat, a storage tank and fenders that are camouflage, side reflectors, a headlight and
a tail light. A decal with model number “Baja Warrior 200” inside a circle with wings attached is
on both sides of the storage tank. The date of manufacture is printed on the bottom right of the
Vehicle Emissions Control Information label in the MM/YY format. The label is attached to the
front side of the engine."
Mine was not manufactured in November or December of that year. Mine has a green frame not black. Mine does not have a taillight. And I have never noticed any problems with the front forks.
