Don't bypass the governor.
Remove it completely.
Take the funding gear out.
Not the counter balance.
The gov gear on the side cover.
Remove it, or blow it up,

So I took apart the reflector that's on the back Fender and the reflector actually can be easily removed from the housing so I cut out some rectangles and Mountain from Tiny LED strips inside the cover and cut a small piece of plexiglass to cover the LEDs and I painted it black, I also bought a brace handle that matches up perfectly with the stock cable which has a switch inside of it to activate the brake light, this brake handle also has an emergency brake lock which is awesome

Will it be difficult for you to buy new internals when the plastic gear shreds into tiny pieces and destroys this beautiful engine.


BTW, price doesn't always mean quality. When was Harbor Freight ever know for its Quality?

So you guys really think I should open the engine and remove the gear? I didn't think it would be that big of a deal to leave it in there

Added some switches to the handlebars, I added a high and a low switch for my headlights on one side of the bike and on the other side I added a auxiliary switch for Neons I'm adding in the future and I added a two Port USB charger Hub with a battery voltage meter. Lol

As you guys I'm sure have noticed this bike is already 90% finished I was just sharing the pictures of my step by step process in making this Baja a completely new bike, but as it stands here's the bike 90% finished it still needs a paint job and some cleaning up of the wires and a few other things but what do you guys think so far?

I was like you and figured I didn't really need to remove the thing that blows up.
I'm not racing or anything, and the darn thing is made to spin anyway right?

I wasn't even close to top speed when it gave it up.
Fortunately some of the gear got stuck in the decompression system and made it real hard to start, so I took it apart and found that the thing that blows up, blew up.

If it hadn't clogged up the decompressor, I wouldn't have known it until the engine went south.

Dealing with the hurricane as of now, I live in Florida, so I will get some new oil when advanced auto parts opens back up but the governor will be removed within the next hour or so. Anyone have a link you can share where someone removed theirs from their 420cc predator??

Here's a simple mod I did to my seat.
makes the ride a little smoother.
I didn't get a pic with the center bolt cut, and wingnuts were the only thing I had on hand at the time for the bolts which are smoothed out in the center.

Nice! I was actually going to put rear suspension on this bike but the bike ended up costing me a lot more than I thought it was going to in the end so I skipped that but I was actually going to try and do a lot just like that for my seat, I'm glad somebody else thought of the same thing
