212cc engine swap, shaft too short for Torque converter

I wasn't expecting to have questions already but I've ran into a snag trying to swap this HF 212cc engine onto our kart, the problem is that the original engine has 3-1/2" of crankshaft sticking out and the new one has 2-3/8", this only leave's an 1/8" for the torque converter, it does have a spacer behind it but it's definitely needed for alignment, not sure what to do. Everything I've researched tells me that 2-3/8" is typical so this leads me to believe this torque converter might be proprietary to this particular setup?
Is this an oddball 30 series?
Is my best option ordering a new torque converter setup or is there a way to adjust this setup?
