Okay, I bought a Baja Dune 150 couple days ago for $100 real good deal IMO. Anyways it isn't getting spark, and some of the wires have been jumped and what not and the only wiring diagram I can find isn't for the same kart so doesn't have the same wire colors. The only harness I can find is the secondary wiring harness. Anyway able to help?

I have cleaned the carb also, drained the fuel put new fuel in it. Not using the ignition switch as I believe it needs rewired as i doesn't turn the motor over. I am just straight jumping the starter solenoid. Pulled the plug, and no spark at all there. Plug is wet when we pulled it so it is getting fuel.

yes it is a Honda based engine, but does wiring color match much? I mean will it still be easily followable?

Search the internet for anything you might need, it is out there. Take a little bit of time and google and go forth and find it.

I traced all the wires back to where they go and they all check out, except for one wire coming out of the regulator/rectifier. It is just cut off and stripped and not sure where it goes to.

Dune 150 fire at plug

Have you solved your problem yet? I have the same issue with my Dune 150 but having a difficult time tracing the problem. I received a repair manual from Baja but it is not good. Wire colors are not consistent with the kart, terminal names and illustrations are not on the engine, and expected voltages are not listed. How did you trace your problem to the rectifier?

When cranking on mine, I see that the stator is producing a voltage and there is a low voltage going to the spark plug, but I don't see a spark on the plug when I ground it to the frame, so I suspect the power is not high enough. Any ideas? CDI?

Thanks,

Matt
