Baja bn150cc to 420cc still using gy6 forward/reverse trans

Got a non working baja bn150cc buggy for cheap. Spent some money to try and get it running. It would need alot more parts. So i decided instead of a one piece wunder i would get a 420cc motor, and try to keep the forward and reverse trans on it. Just because i can i guess lol. I haven't seen any one or pics of some one keeping the gy6 forward and reverse trans with a 420cc motor so I'm giving it a try.

that is the only one I've seen where the F'n'R gearbox really seems to be CAST into the engine case.

Rare.. odd and unfortunate for you.

Buy a F'n'R or ruin that engine completely by cutting the gearbox off;
with a good chance of being unable to seal it up properly afterwards and being unable to use it anyways

Yes i would have to cut old engine out. But with some sheet metal work and splash guards i think i can get it done. Always up for ideas tho.
