Some of you may know that I've been working on a motorbike for a while now... well here it is. Bike is a cheapo I got from CL for $30, motor is a little HF 2.5 I got for $55 when they were getting rid of old stock, and I'm running a standard 5/8" #41 clutch with a 56T rear sprocket. Total in the bike is probably around $200 once I get some new brake pads.

The rack on the back is made out of angle iron cut from a tiny springy cot frame doohickey from what I can only assume was for a crib, and the plate on it was the inside cover plate for one of those RFID readers in gas pumps.

Top speed is about 40 mph, head down butt up with baggy clothes, and measured with my friend's Sunfire. I probably top out around 30-35 sitting up straight with no pedaling, depending fairly largely on wind direction/speed. Sure doesn't feel that fast though, I'm not sure if that's good or bad :roflol:

That's cool. They used to make stuff like this back in the 1930's and 1940's. They are now worth quite a bit of money. A friend of mine owns one from the 1940's, except it has a Power Products power plant. Really cool.

Lookin' cool. Unique idea. Please, though, to prevent gutting yourself, add some type of chain guard.
