Bad Clutch?

I have a yerf dog not sure of the model. With a 6HP Tecumseh OHH60 Engine. I believe the clutch is going bad because when we press the gas it revs up but takes a LONG time for it to engage the clutch. And once it does it just isnt moving like it should or did. I am wondering if this is indeed the clutch or could it be the Tq converter. Just had the carb rebuilt, change oil, spark plug, Pull Cord.

I can post pics if need be. But, There is a TQ Converter Driver toward the front and a TQ converter Driven at the back. It looks like the chain is not spinning even though the axle looks like it is. And the Belt is spinning also but the TQ Converter Driven is not.

Have you tried cleaning the clutch yet?

Thanks, I will give that a try before I do anything else. I am sure it is a mess.
