 I got a racing motor that runs on Alcohol but I can't find any fuel. So I'm going to have to switch to gas. I'm not sure of the process or how much power I will lose. Any help will be very appreciate thank you.

It is likely as simple as rejetting the carb to a smaller orifice. Post all the details of your engine (and maybe a pic) and we will try to help.

That's the one.I just got two new to me karts (I will do my best to post pictures) from the guy next door for $30 & I was going to put the Predator on it & the "Briggs" on my race kart.the new karts will be Xmas gifts for my son & nephews. So getting this motor running will keep me under budget. But again yes that's the motor.

Do you have any idea what internal mods may have been done to the engine? If the answer is "no", then I think the only course of action you may have is to locate a factory stock main jet, install it and test-run. From there you can enrich the mixture if need be. I've never played with an alcohol engine, but it is my understanding that the jet orifice is much larger than it would be for gasoline, so running gas thru it would be horribly rich. Might not even run at all.

All I really know is I got from a friend that races karts he told me it can be swapped to gas but wouldn't run as good. So I said I'll run it like that thinking I would be able to get fuel. But driving to the race track everytime I need alcohol would kill my fun.So now I have to swap it to gas or sell it. I don't know what has been done to it but it is engraved on the side #2007 G P E 1117 D.Caops racing engines silver bullet ..

You'll probably lower power by around 20% switching over to gasoline.

I'd sugest you contact the guys that built your engine: http://www.gokarters.com/links/hedgepeth/contact.htm
They'll have everything you'd need to correctly convert it back to gasoline

I went to the web site & called I was told to look for a 2 digit number didn't find it turns out maybe just a 4500rpm/10hp go fast sticker. However I do know it runs on alcohol. I guess I'll sell it and get another predator ...thanks for ur input everyone.

10-4, but you could just go to a mower shop and buy a stock carb jet and flywheel timing key to convert it back to gas.
