I can't tell a difference between a modded predator 212 and stock... is that possible? what kind of gains am I supposed to be seeing with intake, 140 tube, stock jet took out the back firing and hi flo exhaust... my mph stock was 40.65... after mods I'm running 39.76
Well....top speed is more determined by gearing than HP....You should get there sooner....but not necessarily go any faster.....
So....2+2=4...... all day long.....the mods you've mentioned should make it easier to get to 4.....but you're still working with 2+2....unless I missed something.....
To try and clarify: the mods should be making you go from 1+1+1+1=4.....to. 2+2=4...... or......3+1=4.....
But!!!!! It's. gear ratio.....rpm....and tire size....so....1 hp will take all day to get to top speed.....100 will get you there in a blink of the eye....but it will be the same top speed...(overwinding a watch doesn't make it go any faster)....(get it?)...
Now....removing the governor increases the RPM's at which the engine operates...which increases top end.....larger tires....higher gearing....also increase top end....(it's like replacing one of the 2's with a 3 or 4....) then you get 5 or 6....
Make sense?
EDIT: Another good analogy: .....Once you hit top speed in first gear in a car....pushing on the gas pedal just ain't making it go any faster......
