I have a B&S 5hp, I have removed the govenor and put a three horsepower flywheel on it and a custom exhaust of of a mini crotch rocket and Im just looking for some suggestions on building this and making it faster.

swap your 5hp flywheel back on it for torque. You will need a custom bracket for the coil to work with that flywheel. Remove that exhaust a 3/4" straight pipe about 14" should be good. Did you pull the internal governor and washer?

Doubt a mini crotch rocket would need the extra torque, i would just use the 3hp one.

He said he used the exhaust off a mini bike, probably a 47cc and thats a 2 stroke pipe, it will make the motor lose power, by reducing flow.

yea it is a much smaller pipe and i didnt get a custom bracket for the coil i just customized the coil :) and how much would the 3/4" 14" pipe affect the engine

you can gain somewhere around .75 HP from a straight pipe, you can get that at the hardware store for like $7

you should really use the 5hp flywheel for the extra torque. Port the intake valve slightly, shave the eyebrows, eliminate the head gasket.

explain the shaving the eyebrows, i just got into this not really sure what that means sorry.. but i been in mechanics for two years so im great with tools and engines just not the lingo yet ...and i heard that the 3hp fly wheel will advance the timing 6+degrees and will increase the torque?

Bummer, use a drill bit and tap it to the next size, or leave it, and use set screws on a clutch

Drilling and re tapping isn't that hard. Does your motor use the starter cup or starter clutch? If its the cup style starter, I have a crank i would let go of for cheap.
