b and s carb

i have an old briggs and stratton 5hp I/C. it has a lever to changer the speed of the engine. is there a way to turn that throttle into a pedal for a go kart. or is there a different carb i can buy. any information helps

Does your gas tank have the gear looking pieces below tank and above the single mounting bolt?

If you can take a pic of your engine and a shot from rear showing below the fuel tank. That would help alot. You can always connect directly to throttle but lose governor but depends on what you want.
