my son got this kart from his uncle.
the more I look at it the more I think it needs a complete new rear axle setup wheels everything.
I could probably buy a better kart cheaper.
it appers to of had a diff that was junk and now has a 3/4 non keyed axle jammed through the diff.
and some sort of pin drilled through it at the diff that has a lot of slop (I could weld that).
got the engine to run but cc is slipping or smoked.
it has a disc setup the disc is warped and slightly binding.
cant seem to find a replacement disc 7"- 4 bolt 2-3/4.
looks like tires and rims are from a snow blower.
I'm almost thinking about a torque conv instead of a clutch.
to get more low end and get it going for now.
but I'm just not sure about the whole axle setup.
what type of axle tire setup would be recommended.
sorry so long thanks for any advice .
just want to make the little guy happy

BMI had discs on sale like that. Maybe not the exact bolt pattern but close enough for a dremel. I bought three. :lolgoku:
Kart looks decent. Worth fixing if you can weld. BMI had bearings for solid axle on sale too.

Go to Go Power Sports they have live axle kits and are reasonably priced and shipping won't kill you either. Type in DIYGOKARTS under promo code and receive an additional 10% off the price since you are a member here.

Yes a cvt set up would be better. Those are great rear tires for off road. and go with a #40 chain, 10 tooth drive sprocket and a 60 tooth driven sprocket for a 6:1 ratio. It will have good power all around. :wai: Sounds like a plan.

I had a friend that had the same kart a few years ago that he had converted a 10 hp yanmar engine on with a jackshaft plate. Ran great don't know how fast but it moved my big butt pretty good.
