So I bought this frame that has a live axle. I found out once i started to ride it that the axle was bent. Was curious if anyone has any ways of straightening it? Torch? Beating the **** out of it? Something other then buying a new one... Thanks, Chadapillar.

Yer its very hard to straighten it perfectly. Hey just get at it with some heat and a hammer, whats the worst that can happen? I remember our old camping buggy my grandad made got the axle bent at camping and all grandad did was take it off, put it in the fire and smack it with a hammer. He straightened it actually, went perfect after that. Just to make one thing clear b4 a debate starts, i dont literally mean smack the crap out of it with a hammer. Use ur brain and smack it a little bit at a time where it needs smacking. If u want to see if its straight or where it needs smacking, role the axle on a sheet of glass and u will see where the imperfections are. Why i say sheet of glass is thats the flattest thing u could find around a home.

Hope that helps.

Worth a try, cant really ruin it anymore. You may even be able to get it straight enough you wouldnt notice.
