Im looking for a clutch cuz i am going to make a mini chopper. How does a clutch attach to the shaft? Does it use a screw that goes into the keyway on the shaft?
Another type is a bi-directional clutch and is held on with set screws and does not require a crank bolt. Bi-directional means it can be mounted in-board OR out-board.
Theres also clutches sold that can be mounted in your choice of inboard or outboard, that dont have set screws. These would be secured by using a bolt/washer in the threaded hole at the end of the crank shaft.
what kind of engine are you using? That will also change how its mounted. If its a 49cc engine or smaller theres usually 2 bolts that connect the clutch to the flywheel. Give us some more info and well help out
