Thanks for looking guys - Long story short, noob trying to see what was in his transmission (I got the engine for cheap from a friend), planned on rebuilding it and finding another DT175-compatible frame (plenty where I am)...
But while attempting to seal up the crankcase again these two oddities fell out when the entire transmission nearly came out (shift cam fell out and nearly everything else followed... managed to put everything back together but didn't notice these two things until I assembled it).
The transmission doesn't seem to shift right, seems to "miss" gears. Is this the cause?

Oh by the way, I lost one of these small pins on the top of the shift cam when taking it apart a few months ago, does this affect it in any way? (There was 4, lost 1)
