Well maybe not expert. But what do you feel is your expertise?

I will start.

Fresh Water Aquariums and South American Ciclids along with Snakeheads.
Picking stuff to sell on ebay. (garage sales)
FL250 Honda Odyssey.
62 to 67 Chevy II Nova's.
Driving a Forklift.
Cleaning a motorcycle style carb.
Sturgeon fishing.
Training dogs to frisby. (My wifes big hobby)
Restoring small vintage motorcycles. (80's)
Rust repair in motorcycle gas tanks.

Okay now what do you suck at?

Getting close measurments right and square.
Making any kind steering on a go kart. I failed a few times big.
Removing Cotter pins. For some reason cotter pins hate me.
Spelling and all that stuff.
Bodywork. I tried it a few times, Never again. After I was done with it. The car would have been worth more with dents. LOL

I'm pretty good with Electronics. Would like to get my EE one day.
I've got a green thumb and pretty good at growing things.
Light auto repair.
Appliance repair.
TV repair.
Computers.
Good at visualizing things in my head and making a product out of it.
Sketching things.

The bad:

I suck at maths. :mad2: Well, it's not that I completely suck, it's that I have a hard time remembering formulas and crap.

I can't leave things well enough alone; I have to figure ways to "improve" them and sometimes just make it worse. :roflol:

Measuring twice, cutting once.... I've gotten better about it, but sometimes I'm just a little too eager to do something and I mess up on the measurements and don't find out until stuff doesn't fit...

I get really crabby when I'm hungry... Although I guess that's not really a "skill" or anything. :arf:

Starting one project and completing it before I start working on something else. I've been trying to get better at this too and so far it's been working, to a degree. What usually tends to happen is that I start working on something, don't have what I need so I put it on hold and I start something else and then I put that on hold because I come across something else I need for that and I just keep bouncing back and forth between projects. I still have to go back and finish up my LawnBoy kart, but I need a clutch for that...

Oh man, I'm starting to feel like this is a therapy session of some sort so I think I'll leave it at that.

Since i like to leave on a good note, im not too flash at maths and theroey, my memory is usually only existant when the subject interests me, and i have quite the short fuse when it comes to anger. personality wise i am stubborn and not good at making everyday decisions - changes when at work though.

However, i work as an engineer and the practical side of maths and expecially technical drawing i am great at, i have a mechanical mind and i will refuse to pay money for someone else to fix something, so i am skilled at working on cars and other vehicles, i love my engines and i possess a lot of knowledge on them, im a good versatile welder and can fluently weld with any type of welder, my literature is sound and i can come up with many creative soloutions to problems.

Bad: Paying attention to anything that doesn't interest me, remembering anything that doesn't interest me, finishing projects, socializing, pretty much failed English and SOSE every year at school (see first 2 comments), I spend WAY top much time on the computer looking at forums and stuff(instead of working in the shed or sleeping), spending money on stuff (ie, I never do), I'm a huge hoarder too. I'm not sure if those last to are bad though! Others seem to think so... :toetap05:

My expertise:
  • RWD Peugeots, I can tell you pretty much anything you want to know about those
  • Car restoration
  • Suspension design
  • Engines, modifying, restoring, the theory behind them
  • Suzuki LJs
  • Taking the most dead heaps of crap ever and making them work
  • Bush mechanics(ie fixing something with minimal tools and items at hand)
  • Victas
  • Weird and wonderful engine designs, mostly from the early 1900s, I have a LOT of info on that kind of stuff.
  • Computer Aided Design

Thanks

Hayden

Just like women, so too for computers: every year a new model is released that is younger, more advanced and gives a lot more.

A woman is just like a computer: you are happy with what you have but when you see what your friends have got, you are sure you want what they have.
