Hello to all!
We are looking to build an Arachnid go-kart, by spidercarts, but first, we had a few questions.

1. Does spidercarts send you physical blueprints, or only in PDF version?

2. Does anyone know the approximate build cost of the Arachnid Go-Kart?

3. Has anyone built this go-kart? Is it worth the hassle? Is it as great as it seems on their website? Any further information would be very appreciated.

4. Are the prices on spidercarts.com in USD? Because I have heard that the price for the plans of the Arachnid was 35$, but on the site, it says 42.47$. I am in Canada. Is this price in USD or CAD? Can anyone confirm one or the other?

Hello once again, I had one last question. Is the company still running? Will I get the blueprints if I buy them? I have heard of people buying and not receiving anything. Thanks for the help!

They still appear to be in business, however their copyright hasn't been updated since 2014 on the bottom of their website. I would use their contact us feature on their website and ask some questions. If you don't get a response by Monday or Tuesday, then chances of you getting plans are slim.

I believe they are a US company (I'd assume so), if they are still in business, I would get in contact with your bank or credit card holder and let them know that you are making a purchase to a company and not to block that transaction. I was going to purchase some plans from an Australian company and my card got declined from my bank, had to ask what gives, turns out need to call them ahead of time as to not block the transaction. They think the card was compromised.

Thank you, and if I am buying I will! I have gotten in contact with them yesterday and still have gotten no answer. I guess I'll have to do with others. Do you know of any other go kart website where to buy plans? Thanks again and have a great day.

I have looked at the Edge products. However, we want a go kart that has suspension, and we were looking at the build costs of Edge products, and they seem way higher than spidercarts's. Do you know of any others? Thank you once again.

Only other one's I know of, are mainly motorcycle powered 600cc and up mini buggy companies. One in particular did sell a child to adult buggy plans that could work with a 6.5hp up to a 25hp engine. Company is called Protodie. However, the owner Jody is stepping down from the company as he has other things to deal with and has stopped the sale of plans until a new owner can be brought on board. The buggy in question is called the MXT.

The other company is Badland buggy, however they are also 600cc up to a 1400cc snowmobile or motorcycle engine buggy. The only small one they have is the Velociraptor, which is similar to the Edge Trax III. Unfortunately, there are no other companies that I can find that sell plans at reasonable prices, let alone full suspension. If Spidercarts is out of business, I would try to send members on here who have built one a message, and see if you can buy their plans or if they can send a copy of the plans.

Update: I just bought the plans off of Spidercarts's website, and I got them. They only send in PDF format.

They are in both metric and imperial. Imperial in inches, and metric in millimetres. However, they warn that these measurements may not be exact.
