Bill, on another note, when you decide what you are doing with the main frame section, I would suggest the following. Page 21. Instead of making 2 of MF4.75-4539, make 1 MF12-39 and cut once it is welded in place and after the front suspension block is welded to it as well. Then you will only need to cut out enough for clearance for the steering shaft. Take a look at Wobbly's. Thats what he did. Much better chance things will line up and stay lined up when welding. One of mine warped in about 2 degrees, no big deal, but I had to compensate on the suspension block to keep it all square.

I'm leaving that piece in unless my new rack causes clearance issues.

The Edge plans are very good, I think I mentioned my friend in Australia who has nearly finished his Piranha. It's in a different league when it comes to cost though, he has spent a huge amount of money on it. I'm liking the look of the Sidewinder though :)

:iagree: Bill, I have to agree with fowler on this. The more I am on their site, the more impressed I am with their stuff. I am looking seriously at buying a set of plans for the barracuda once I am done. :thumbsup:

Mother :censored:, son of a :censored:, ... Why the hell am I building this Ah - :poop: - Nid, when I could of have a REAL PROVEN DESIGN!!!!! (picture the V-8 juice commercial)

This is a little scary though;

Buying the raw materials, fabricating and welding the Barracuda parts yourself to the plans will cost approximately $7,500 to $10,000 Australian dollars minus motor depending on how much of the componentry you produce yourself. :eek:

Bob, ... I'm sending you a PM.

Well, ... Only one of the CV-Halfshafts made it here today, the other will be here tomorrow. Apparently this one came from Texas, and the other is coming from Tennessee.

Anyhow, ... here are a few pictures of one of the CV-Halfshafts. The steel disk shown, is what I need to machine to fit the differential to the disk, and the Disk to the rear sprocket.

For some scale, ... the disk is 9.0" in diameter.

The CV-Halfshafts just "Pop" in to the differential.

Hmmm, ... Apparently, UPS has lost the 2nd CV Halfshaft that was due to arrive today. Seems the computer says it IS ON TIME and to be delivered today, ... but the humans cannot find it. :furious2:

Is their ANY businesses out their that are STILL competent these days? :huh:

Would this count as an Ah-:poop:-Nid curse?

The edge products is just around the corner from me. My mate works there. Awesome machinery there. They made one buggy to order with a Porsche motor in it or something.

I have made a drawing of the sprocket mount that will hold the sprocket to the differential.

The disk I showed in a previous post will be this part. I will mount a rotatory table to the mill on Monday and make the part.

Yeah, ... I guess some human has found the lost CV Halfshaft and it will be delivered on Monday to my work.

yea they paid me back my 10 bucks but i still would've much rather kept the sprocket, it wasn't actually there fault, i think the sprockets teeth broke through the box and it fell out. yea is luck they found your part my sprocket is prob on some ups truck bumper or under some conveyor belt
