Anyone used this Comet tranny????

Also looking at Comet gearbox

I just purchased this week the same gearbox from Ebay. I did some research and it looks to be ok for light duty. The shifter is plastic and cheap, I may replace before I mount it. If you would by the one online I would appreicate a copy of the manual. I did not recieve one and I am trying to figure out what type of oil it needs. I did see this gearbox is rated for a max of 16 HP, I am using a 10 HP. From what I have seen, I wouldn't go any higher then 10HP. Good luck if you decide to purchase. If anyone else has a manual for me please let me know. Thanks!

I was going to buy from the same site, I paid $225 with shipping so saved around $30. That site had the best price. I am using a Comet #40 torque converter. I have a Yerf Dog go kart that I am adding a new 10HP engine. Thought the gearbox would be nice to have with reverse and neutral for my kids. That would be great if you could get me instructions if you decide to buy. I will post some pictures when I start to mount mine and will let you know if I replace the shifting lever. I don't see the oringinal plastic shifting lever lasting very long.
