Yes I had one that I took a 1” shaft modded 420cc engine and installed it on. And no I will not buy another one. They just aren’t fast enough off the line for what I was doing. My billet jr dragster torque converter is and will always be way faster for what I was doing.

They are built nice and the quality is really good. And there are applications that it fits well for but mini dragbike racing isn’t one of them.

I sold the engine and setup. The guy I sold it to also sold it and the next guy couldn’t get it to work either so last I heard the clutch was sitting in a box collecting dust !

And NO they do not make a 1” version and the owner told me they aren’t planning on making or manufacturing one either. I took my crank to a machine shop and turned it down to 3/4” shaft. And bought the expensive heavier springs for the clutch also. And still was a no go. My engine was never dynoed but it should have been 30-40 hp.

Here’s my thread if you wanna see what I did.............

Then they need to update their FAQ.

That also depends on gearing...

Burning rubber with a 10mph top end isnt that great either lol. Yeah ill probably pass on this after seeing all the opinions. Stick with what i know works. I actually replaced my worn comet driver with an import driver using it in conjunction with the comet driven and its working good. Till whenever I rebuild/ clean the driver.

Joe-405 said he didn't like the manual clutches because they were either Fully ON or Fully OFF. No in-between - No slipping. IIRC He said they would burn up if using on a yardkart or pitbike.

Are these spring applied clutches, or over-center clutches?

Both have a return spring... so On or Off using the lever...
I can imagine the gen 2(3d ms) plated version can have a bit of slip, but the mk1 really doesnt have any at all.

Yes they are springs. Cause I spent the extra for the spring upgrade as my 420cc was past the recommended hp levels for the stock springs.
